My counseling style is very open to meeting you exactly where you are in your life. I believe that most people could benefit from seeking counseling at different points in their life. I use a variety of counseling styles and activities throughout, depending on your goals and needs. Whatever problems or concerns that you may be encountering, working together, to get you to where you want to be, is my main goal. I hope to assist you in being the best version of yourself.
I have a great deal of experience in working with children and adolescents. I have worked with children in treatment foster care, in a private practice setting, group counseling, in public schools, and in-home treatment. I have worked with children diagnosed with behavioral disorders, spectrum diagnoses, victims of different types of abuse, depression, anxiety, and relational issues. I am certified in Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and was previously licensed as a Behavioral Specialist. I have been working as a school counselor for the past 2 years in Career and Technical high schools. I also have experience working with adults an areas concerning depression, abuse, coping with medical illnesses, anxiety, and unresolved past issues or relationship challenges.
Sometimes the hardest part of counseling is making that initial phone call; I will acknowledge and focus on even your smallest strengths throughout therapy, all the while using a down-to-earth approach. I look forward to hearing from you and working together.
